Accessibility Statement

This accessibility statement is made with regard to the requirements of the Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz (BFSG) for services in electronic commerce and the Barrierefreie-Informationstechnik-Verordnung (BITV 2.0) for public bodies, which transpose Directive (EU) 2016/2102 and Directive (EU) 2019/882 into German law. Operators not falling within the mandatory scope of those provisions may adopt this statement voluntarily as a self-commitment to accessibility.

Compliance status

The website aims to comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, on which the harmonised European standard EN 301 549 is based.

Technical features

  • Semantic HTML5 structure with correct document outline and ARIA attributes where required.
  • Full keyboard operability of all interactive elements.
  • Visible focus indicator on all interactive elements.
  • Light and dark mode with contrast ratios meeting WCAG AA.
  • Support for the system setting for reduced motion.
  • Content language declared on every page; content in Arabic and Hebrew is rendered right to left.
  • Text can be resized up to 200 % without loss of function.
  • Descriptive alternative text can be stored for images uploaded via the media library.

Preparation of this statement

This statement was prepared on April 18, 2026. The assessment combined automated testing tools with manual review of keyboard navigation, screen reader behaviour and colour contrast, in both light and dark themes.
